Welcome to Wei Restaurant! It is a Chinese Restaurant located at 901 W 6th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501—where our family’s food story in Anchorage began, after first serving the community for 10 years with Chinatown Restaurant before returning to start this new chapter.
We are rooted in Anchorage’s community (a place that never felt less than home to our family), with “Wei” (meaning “taste” in Chinese) reflecting our belief in flavor, experience, and connection through food—we serve authentic Chinese flavors with thoughtful, modern twists while honoring tradition.
Our signature dishes include Mapo Tofu, Shrimp Fried Rice, Xiaolongbao (Steamed Pork Dumplings), all crafted with authentic Chinese flavors, elevated by thoughtful modern touches to bring fresh, exciting tastes to the table for the community we cherish.

“I have a wonderful experience in this restaurant, as a Chinese , I have been looking for food that I like , I totally understand the food ingredients are not easy to find from Anchorage , I am impressed they still can made it what I want and what I like , the restaurant decoration is very neat and elegant, and the space is large enough. Definitely should come to try it and bring friends over.“

“Dined in tonight for Wei’s trial period! We ordered the “Wei Chicken Wings” and the “Shrimp Fried Rice”. The wings are a solid 10/10, and the rice is a 9/10🤩🤩 only thing IMO is it needs more salt 😆 other than that it was delectable. The drinks are PHENOMENAL, I highly recommend the Pina Colada Sake😍 we WILL be back for the full menu!“

“This is the place to go if you want delicious food, beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. Small menu, beer and wine served only and a couple shareable dishes, appetizers and entrees. Great time, will definitely be back!”
